What we've got planned for this quarter, a congrats to our fellows, and proposing a new club meeting time.
Hello Product People of UCI,
Happy Week 2 of winter quarter! ☃️ We hope you had a safe and chill holiday break. We were supposed to release the newsletter last week, but with Emily’s senioritis (aka, laziness) + an unexpected storming of the Capitol, we felt it best to delay it until this week. A late start, but we’re back! We’re excited to have you all back for another fun quarter with Product Association @ UCI. We’ve got a lot of fun things planned for you guys, so get hyped! 🤪
🎉 congrats to our new fellows!
Congratulations to the fellows of Product Association @ UCI’s first fellowship cohort! We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who applied to our fellowship this year. We received a ton of outstanding applications and it was so fun learning about every one of you and your ambitions to go into product. 🙌
That being said, we will continue to foster a close-knit community of product people here at UCI — for everyone. We plan to provide more resources, workshops, mentorship, general advice, and anything you might need to help you further develop your product skills and knowledge. If there is anything you want to see us do this quarter or any general feedback you might have, please let us know in this form here. We’re always looking for ways to improve! 🤓
📣 new times for club meeting
This quarter, we are changing things up a bit. Instead of having a casual meeting every week, we will have fewer, higher quality meetings that you can benefit more from. We won’t be having a meeting this week, but we will have one for Week 3.
For our club meetings, we’d like to know what day and time works best for everyone. Please respond to this poll and let us know what day and time you’d prefer for our club meetings. Also, based on the feedback we got from last quarter, this quarter we will aim to stick to the same day/time for every meeting so that it’s not confusing!

💡 product of the week: Gather.town
This week, we’re featuring a product from Vitica Arnold, one of our Product Fellows who is a senior Psychology and Social Behavior transfer student. Her favorite product is Gather.town, a virtual conference space that combines video calling with fun features in a custom 2-D world. She says:
Gather town is amazing! I ended up “playing” Gather town for my other organization’s social, and it was super engaging! We realized it was more engaging than Zoom because your fingers are kept busy moving your character around and not left idle to click on other pages.
